Exothermic Welding – A Lifelong Bond

Exothermic welding is a welding process that employs molten metal to permanently join the conductors. Harger’s Ultraweld® UltraShot® is re-defining the exothermic process. As the industry leader in exothermic products for grounding, bonding and lightning protection, we offer patented (UltraShot®) technology that utilizes a copper drop in cartridge which becomes part of the connection. Exothermic molds used in the UltraShot® process have been proven to last several times longer than ones being used in the conventional process.

UltraShot® utilizes a copper container that is consumed along with the weld metal providing for a superior exothermic connection. The electronic ignition system fires instantly and uses an 18-volt Milwaukee® lithium ion battery. Over 1,500 connections can be made on a single charge. The 6’ ignition cord allows the user to maintain a safe distance from the reaction. Molds used in the UltraShot® process have been proven to last several times longer than ones being used in the conventional process.

Factory Certification training is offered on Exothermic Welding by Harger.  The training is hands-on and provides your team with an understanding of Harger’s Ultraweld® exothermic welding process. The tools required to make a connection, the inspection process, as well as safety and troubleshooting. Attendees become certified! Get started by working with your Harger Sales Representative to pick a date and time that works best for you and your team.
