CAD Designer - Grayslake, IL

Entry-level position where the CAD Designer will be asked to produce rendered images, product simulation videos, and two-dimensional drawings using Autodesk® Inventor® in conjunction with AutoCAD®

Responsibilities:

  • Create 2D & 3D high-quality rendered images, product animations, and 2D detailed production blueprints.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing, Quality Control, Production, and Engineering Departments to determine and verify product specifications and functionality.
  • Manage drawings through their lifecycle – create and update drawings based on internal design reviews and customer feedback.
  • Work in an independent manner under the guidance of a supervisor or technical lead.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Associate’s Degree with emphasis in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or certification from an accredited Technical School in a related area.

  • Intermediate familiarity with AutoCAD® 2D drafting.

Field Service Engineer - Grayslake, IL

Provide Harger partners full support in the installation of their lightning protection projects by providing pre and post installation site visits as well as being onsite for the independent 3rd party inspection when applicable.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the current NFPA 780, UL96A, NEC and other industry standards related to lightning protection and grounding.
  • Product knowledge of the lightning protection and grounding components.
  • Read, understand and interpret all construction documents from a plan set.
  • Travel to work site to conduct thorough pre and post installations. Provide guidance as necessary.
  • Provide thorough documentation and reports of all site visits and customer interactions.
  • Be present for UL inspections.
  • Accurately design lightning protection systems from the field when plan set information is not available.
  • Track all projects assigned and report on status.
  • Complete all travel expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Attend safety training meetings and comply with all safety requirements.
  • Attend Field Service meetings.
  • Document all activities in the Project Folders.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High School diploma; some College preferred.

Inside Sales Representative - Grayslake, IL

To support customer needs and drive sales in a fast-paced team environment. Provide accurate, timely and quality work to customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Prompt handling of all customer service requests, including but not limited to quote requests, technical product information, application questions, and customer contract resolutions.
  • Follow up on quotes and projects to drive sales and derive market intelligence.
  • Ensure timely responses to customers.
  • Work with order entry, manufacturing and shipping to resolve questions on orders including but not limited to pricing, lead times, freight, payment terms, and part numbers.

Maintenance Technician - Grayslake, IL

Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment. Monitor equipment and ensure equipment is running optimally for continued production.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect equipment by reviewing parts and ensure that they are working properly.
  • Identify and perform necessary maintenance on equipment as needed.
  • Conduct routine servicing of equipment as part of measures to prevent breakdowns and malfunctions.

Product Manager - Grayslake, IL

Assist with executing the company's strategy for new lightning protection products and revisiting existing products by working closely with the appropriate Harger personnel. 

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing current product lines for material and manufacturing cost savings.
  • Coordination with sales for custom, client specific assemblies.
  • Performing viability studies on custom assemblies for potential incorporation into catalog offerings.
  • Assist with representation on standards committees.
  • Maintain AutoDesk licensing company-wide.
  • Coordinate with Field Services Manager for maintaining and updating of Field Service AutoCAD deployments and routines.
  • Coordinate with Field Service Engineers for enhancing BlueBeam reporting capabilities and efficiencies.
  • Train Field Service Designers and Estimators in the usage and design of grounding systems utilizing the WinIGS software package.
  • Relay and advise applicable departments upon changes to the industry standards.

Shipping Clerk - Grayslake, IL

Work with Shipping and Receiving team members, plant managers, Purchasing, Customer Service and Sales Department as well as other areas to fulfill shipping requirements within the facility. Ensure that products are received efficiently for use within the plant or within inventory stock for resale to customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Pick and pack shipping orders.
  • Processing UPS and FedEx shipments through Navision, UPS World Ship and other third-party logistics suppliers.
  • Maintain inventory on packing and shipping supplies by daily cycle counting.
  • Ensure that stock shelves are maintained properly and well organized.
  • Review daily reports with Manager to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping/receiving schedules.
  • Expedite of required quick turnaround orders by customers and Inside Sales.
  • Coordinate products from Receiving to work cells and from work cells to Shipping.

Build all new fixtures as well as dies to specifications.

  • Assists Tool Room Manager in building of new fixtures and dies.
  • Makes modifications to programs for machining

  • Loads programs into CNC machining centers, modifies programs as needed.

Quality Inspector - Fairmont, NC

Inspect incoming materials as well as manufactured products to ensure suitability for use for manufacturing and shipments to customers. 

Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming materials.
  • Take basic measurements to verify against packing slip and NAV item description. Verify against blueprint.
  • Obtain and review material certifications as required by inspection plans.
  • Verify material certificates to list of Harger specifications.
  • Record data, scan documents as needed for manufacturing and quality.
  • Perform additional inspection on “Enterprise Critical” items.
  • Notify the Quality Engineer in a timely manner of any discrepancies on incoming inspection or quality concerns on products.
  • First piece inspection and ongoing in process inspection of manufactured products in various cells.
  • In process inspection of other products as scheduled/assigned.
  • Perform incoming and in process inspection of weld metal
  • Perform and shop audits
